God
comes to earth to set himself as an ideal man so as to enable man to follow
his example and elevate himself to Godhood. Such divine souls who tread on the
path set by God attain the state of Godhood but they live among men as ordinary
men, often incognito, until other yearning souls discover in them the ideal
to follow. Swamiji is one such divine soul.
While "Bhagwan Ved" is a symbol of supreme knowledge, Guru Gangeshwaranandji
is a symbol of supreme penance. He was the only scholar in the world, who had
at the tip of his tongue not only all the verses of the four Vedas but was also
a critic and an interpreter of the meaning of these verses. Infact the whole
Life of Gurudev was dedicated to "Bhagwan
Ved". He took upon the task of integrating Indian thought by redefining the
ancient concepts on Ved & Bhagwad Gita and reinterpreting them in the right
way. The very objective of his life was to propogate Vedic knowledge in the
various countries all over the world and make human life meaningful. Hence in
front of the idol of "Bhagwan Ved" which is a symbol of knowledge, a statue
of "Guru Gangeshwaranandji" is installed.
Swamiji was an authority on Vedas. By tirelessly working to create an atmosphere
of peace and brotherhood among all his devotees, Guruji had earned the respect
of everyone who came to see him. His humility and love for all are what inspired
those who met him.
