Situated on the banks of the sacred river Godavari, Nasik is known as the place of holy penances of Lord Prabhu Ramchandra as well as those of so many other great sages. The GuruGangeshwar Ved Mandir is a recent addition to this holy heritage of Nasik.

The splendid Vedmandir is 82 feet in length, 65 feet in breadth and 78 feet in height. The construction of Ved Mandir is based on geometrical designs. It has an imposing entrance, semicircular in design with 33 feet in diameter. Its artistically designed doors, its well proportioned conically shaped tall pinacles, its beautiful ceiling with attractive geometrical design and semicircular designs and well proportioned conical shape in its hall and exterior are well planned, proportionate and accoustically perfect. Verses from vedas have been carved on the exterior marble walls of the temple all around, which spread the message of welfare to every one.

There is a hall at the rear end for meditation for the devotees. To bring this divine dream into reality and decorate it, artists from Gujrat and Rajasthan have worked day and night for three complete years. In the left vault a 6 feet tall beautiful marble idols of Lord Prabhu Ramchandra, Lord Laxman and deity Sita has been enshrined. At the entrance of this an idol of Hanuman, their great devotee, has been installed. In the main and central vault of Vedmandir an idol of Bhagwan Veda has been enshrined alongwith a bowed headed standing 7 feet tall bronze statue of Guru Ganegeshwaranandji installed in front of it. At the entrance of the temple an idol of Lord Ganesha the great reliever of all the troubles.

A full time Ved school is also run where students from all over the country come to take lessons in Ved.
